You will tackle challenging problems that demand innovative solutions in high-speed digital design, signal processing, and real-time data acquisition, operating at the forefront of technology. Our ideal candidate thrives in an environment where technical excellence and creative problem-solving are paramount, contributing significantly to the full product lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment.
As a Senior FPGA Engineer, you will lead the architecture definition, RTL coding, simulation, synthesis, and on-board validation of advanced FPGA designs. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the robust performance, reliability, and efficiency of our hardware platforms. You will be expected to provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices in hardware development methodologies. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on diverse projects that span multiple domains, providing continuous learning and professional growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software, firmware, and system architects, to deliver integrated solutions that meet stringent performance and reliability requirements. If you are passionate about pushing the limits of hardware design and eager to make a tangible impact on revolutionary products, we encourage you to apply and join our innovative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex FPGA-based digital hardware systems.
- Develop RTL (VHDL/Verilog) for high-performance, low-latency, and power-efficient FPGA designs.
- Perform extensive functional verification using simulation tools and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Define and implement comprehensive verification plans, including testbench development and coverage analysis.
- Execute synthesis, place and route, timing analysis, and power optimization for target FPGA devices.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (hardware, software, firmware) to define interfaces and integrate designs.
- Conduct thorough hardware debugging and validation on prototypes and production systems.
- Contribute to system-level architecture definition and hardware/software partitioning decisions.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and promote best practices within the team.
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation, specifications, and test reports.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of professional experience in FPGA design and development.
- Expertise in VHDL and/or Verilog for RTL design.
- Strong proficiency with FPGA vendor toolchains (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus Prime).
- Extensive experience with high-speed digital design principles and signal integrity.
- Demonstrated experience with simulation and verification methodologies (e.g., SystemVerilog, UVM).
- In-depth knowledge of timing constraints, static timing analysis, and clock domain crossing (CDC) techniques.
- Experience with embedded processors within FPGAs (e.g., MicroBlaze, Nios II, Zynq, Arria V/10, Stratix V/10).
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment for hardware debugging (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
- Strong understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with high-speed serial protocols (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, DisplayPort, JESD204B).
- Familiarity with board-level hardware design and schematics review.
- Experience with DSP algorithm implementation on FPGAs.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Tcl) for automation.
- Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., medical, aerospace, defense, telecommunications).
- Understanding of security principles for FPGA-based systems.
Perks & Benefits
