Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Senior Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in Toronto. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure targets are met efficiently and effectively, aligning with overall business strategies.
- Develop, implement, and refine production plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to maximize output and minimize downtime.
- Monitor production output, quality control metrics, and inventory levels, adjusting processes and resources as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of production supervisors and operators, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize operational costs.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies, promoting a safe and compliant work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments such as Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to streamline processes and resolve complex operational challenges.
- Manage departmental budgets, control expenses, and provide comprehensive reports on production performance to senior management.
- Drive a culture of innovation, problem-solving, and continuous learning within the entire production team.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a Production Management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management systems (e.g., MRP/ERP).
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies with demonstrated results.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or manufacturing execution systems (MES) and production management software.
- Solid understanding of quality assurance principles, regulatory compliance, and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, coupled with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
