Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking an exceptionally talented and highly motivated Senior Web Developer – Full Stack to join our growing engineering team in Toronto’s vibrant Waterfront Communities. This is an incredible opportunity to play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying high-performance web applications that drive our core business forward. You will be instrumental in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from initial concept and design to deployment and ongoing maintenance, contributing to both front-end user experiences and robust back-end systems.
As a Senior Web Developer, you will be expected to bring a wealth of experience in modern web technologies, best practices, and architectural patterns. We are looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys mentoring junior developers, and is passionate about solving complex technical challenges with elegant, scalable solutions. You will work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality, maintainable code. Our technology stack includes JavaScript frameworks like React, Node.js for backend services, and various database technologies. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines is a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance web applications across the full stack.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern web technologies (e.g., React, Node.js).
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and conduct thorough code reviews.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Implement and maintain robust testing frameworks to ensure code quality and stability.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices, advocating for their adoption where appropriate.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Extensive experience with at least one modern front-end framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Strong backend development skills with Node.js and related frameworks (e.g., Express.js).
- Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and security best practices for web applications.
