Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments accurately, verifying contents against invoices and purchase orders.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation for dispatch.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Perform routine inventory counts and assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and delivery personnel.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or any issues related to shipping and receiving.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of goods.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
- Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration and proactive support.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and record-keeping
