Key Responsibilities
- Safely and courteously transport customers to and from the dealership and local destinations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shuttle vehicle, reporting any issues immediately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the shuttle vehicle, inside and out, throughout the day.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, local regulations, and company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with dealership staff to coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs efficiently.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage or personal items as needed, ensuring their comfort.
- Manage a dynamic transportation schedule, ensuring punctuality and responsiveness to customer needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor at all times.
- Ensure the shuttle is always adequately fueled and ready for continuous operation.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
- Minimum 1 year (12 months) of professional driving experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of local Edmonton and Windermere area roads, traffic patterns, and navigation.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness standards.
- Punctual, reliable, and highly responsible with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and carry moderate weights (e.g., customer luggage, up to 25 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a shuttle driver, taxi driver, or commercial driver in a customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with automotive dealership operations and customer service expectations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
