Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleanup duties on construction and operational sites, including sweeping, shovelling, and removing debris.
- Collect and dispose of waste materials in designated areas, adhering to company and environmental regulations.
- Ensure all pathways, access points, and work zones are clear of hazards and obstructions.
- Assist with the organization and tidiness of equipment and material storage areas.
- Operate basic cleaning equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., brooms, mops, pressure washers).
- Adhere strictly to all site safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding site conditions and cleanup needs.
- Support other general labour tasks as required to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working outdoors or in a physically demanding role (even if not formal employment).
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- WHMIS and Working at Heights certification (can be provided upon hire).
