Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases for new features and existing functionalities across various platforms.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs and defects using established bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Collaborate closely with development teams to understand product requirements and ensure testability of features.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide feedback on usability, potential issues, and test strategies.
- Continuously improve test automation frameworks and tools, contributing to a robust and efficient QA process.
- Monitor product performance post-launch, investigate user-reported issues, and provide detailed findings.
- Contribute to the refinement of QA processes and methodologies to enhance overall software quality.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing and quality assurance.
- Provide clear and concise status reports on testing progress and defect metrics to stakeholders.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Proficiency in developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Demonstrated experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with various testing types (functional, regression, integration, system, UAT).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
- Knowledge of SQL for backend database testing.
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- ISTQB certification or similar professional qualification.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience in mobile application testing (iOS/Android platforms).
