Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and existing functionalities.
  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using appropriate bug tracking systems.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure defects are understood, prioritised, and resolved efficiently.
  • Participate in product review meetings, providing critical insights and feedback from a quality assurance perspective.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Analyse user stories and technical requirements to ensure full test coverage.
  • Set up and maintain test environments and test data as required.
  • Conduct performance and usability testing to ensure optimal user experience.
  • Provide clear and concise status reports on testing progress and defect metrics.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes (Scrum, Kanban).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for script development.
  • Experience testing web and mobile applications.
