Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and existing functionalities.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using appropriate bug tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure defects are understood, prioritised, and resolved efficiently.
- Participate in product review meetings, providing critical insights and feedback from a quality assurance perspective.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Analyse user stories and technical requirements to ensure full test coverage.
- Set up and maintain test environments and test data as required.
- Conduct performance and usability testing to ensure optimal user experience.
- Provide clear and concise status reports on testing progress and defect metrics.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Proficiency in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Familiarity with agile development processes (Scrum, Kanban).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for script development.
