Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive soil sampling, testing, and analysis in both field and laboratory settings.
- Interpret complex soil chemical, physical, and biological data to assess soil health and fertility.
- Develop and recommend tailored nutrient management plans, soil amendments, and irrigation strategies.
- Lead and contribute to research projects focused on sustainable agriculture, precision farming, and soil remediation.
- Collaborate with agronomists, farmers, researchers, and other industry professionals.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, scientific papers, and presentations for various audiences.
- Utilize GIS and remote sensing technologies for spatial analysis of soil properties.

- Stay current with scientific advancements, regulatory changes, and best practices in soil science and agriculture.
Required Skills
- PhD or Master's degree in Soil Science, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in soil chemistry, soil physics, and soil biology.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques for soil analysis and interpretation of results.
- Strong data analysis and statistical software skills (e.g., R, SAS, Python).
- Proven experience in fieldwork, including soil sampling and site assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional agrologist (P.Ag.) certification or eligibility for registration in Quebec.
