As a Solar Panel Installer Helper, you will work closely with our experienced solar technicians, assisting in the installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on various residential and commercial properties. This role is physically demanding and requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn. You’ll spend your days working outdoors, often at heights, and as part of a close-knit team. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead installers and technicians in all aspects of solar panel installation, including mounting structures, panels, and wiring.
  • Transport equipment and materials to and from job sites and roof areas safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare work sites by setting up safety equipment, ensuring proper staging, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Learn and apply proper installation techniques, safety protocols, and company procedures under direct supervision.
  • Perform general clean-up of job sites after installation is complete, including debris removal and equipment storage.
  • Handle and organize tools and equipment, ensuring they are well-maintained and accounted for.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
  • Participate actively in daily team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and comfortable with repetitive tasks.
  • Comfortable working at heights and on sloped roofs for extended periods.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in various weather conditions.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to dynamic work environments.
  • Basic understanding of hand and power tools (or a strong desire to learn).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Prior experience in general construction, roofing, or outdoor labor roles.
  • Basic knowledge or strong interest in solar energy and renewable technologies.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
