Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Solicitor Assistant to join our vibrant team in Aberdeen. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to solicitors in both Corporate and Family Law departments.
- Draft, proofread, and prepare a variety of legal documents, correspondence, and court forms with precision.
- Manage and organise client files, ensuring all documentation is accurately categorised and easily accessible.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including telephone calls, emails, and mail, with professionalism.
- Assist with diary management, scheduling appointments, meetings, and court dates for solicitors.
- Conduct initial legal research and gather relevant information as directed by solicitors.
- Process legal aid applications, billing, and expenses, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, demonstrating empathy and discretion, particularly in Family Law matters.
- Ensure strict adherence to data protection regulations and client confidentiality.
- Support the preparation for court hearings, meetings, and client consultations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal administrative or assistant role.
- Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively under pressure.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proactive attitude and strong problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
- SVQ/NQ in Legal Administration or a similar qualification.
