Job Description

This role at Hiring.zycto isn’t just a job; it’s an invitation to be the backbone of Scotland’s most captivating live performances and events. As a Stagehand, you are the unseen architect, the silent force ensuring every light cue, sound effect, and set change happens flawlessly. You’ll join a dedicated crew responsible for the safe and efficient setup, operation, and strike of various productions, from intimate theatrical plays to large-scale concert extravaganzas. This is a hands-on, physically demanding, and immensely rewarding position where your technical aptitude and teamwork are paramount.

Imagine the thrill of seeing a stage transform under your hands, knowing your precise work directly impacts the audience’s experience. You’ll be involved in all facets of technical production, including rigging, lighting, sound, scenic construction, and props management. This requires not only strength and stamina but also a sharp eye for detail, a proactive attitude, and an unwavering commitment to safety protocols. Every day presents a new challenge and a new opportunity to learn, whether you’re working with complex theatrical machinery, intricate lighting grids, or cutting-edge sound systems.

Hiring.zycto fosters a collaborative environment where experienced mentors guide newcomers, and every team member’s contribution is valued. We pride ourselves on creating a workplace that balances the urgency of live events with a strong emphasis on well-being and professional development. We are seeking individuals who are not just willing to work hard but are passionate about bringing stories to life and creating magic behind the scenes. This role demands a flexible schedule, as live events often occur during evenings, weekends, and holidays. However, this flexibility also means a dynamic work-life balance that rarely involves a mundane 9-to-5 routine. You’ll gain invaluable experience across a spectrum of venues and production styles, constantly honing your craft and expanding your technical repertoire. Safety is our top priority, and comprehensive training will be provided to ensure all operations adhere to the highest industry standards. If you are a problem-solver, a team player, and someone who finds satisfaction in the meticulous execution of technical plans, then step into the spotlight with Hiring.zycto.
