Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a diverse portfolio of client accounts, providing tailored investment advice and solutions.
  • Execute buy and sell orders for stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other financial products on behalf of clients.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of market trends, economic indicators, and specific securities to inform investment strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base and firm's assets under management.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial plans and investment proposals for prospective and existing clients.
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies (e.g., IIROC, OSC).
  • Educate clients on various investment products, market conditions, and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including research and wealth management, to optimize client outcomes.

Required Skills

  • Valid IIROC License (or equivalent provincial securities license)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Stock Broker, Investment Advisor, or similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire and retain high-net-worth clients.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, portfolio management, and investment strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian capital markets and regulatory frameworks.
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Advanced proficiency with investment software and CRM systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation or actively pursuing.
  • CSC (Canadian Securities Course) and CPH (Conduct and Practices Handbook) certifications.
  • Experience with wealth planning software and advanced financial modeling.
  • Fluency in additional languages pertinent to Toronto's diverse clientele.
