Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming products against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse and storage areas for optimal efficiency, accessibility, and safety.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with inventory management system records.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, reporting findings and implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare products for dispatch, ensuring correct quantities, quality, and appropriate packaging.
- Generate dispatch documentation, including shipping labels and manifests.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklift) safely and efficiently, if certified.
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and report to management for action.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using the designated WMS/ERP system.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security regulations within the warehouse environment.
- Collaborate effectively with procurement, sales, and transport teams to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Stock Controller, Warehouse Operative, or similar role (minimum 2 years).
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP software.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving stock.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift license (reach or counterbalance).
- Experience with a specific WMS relevant to the industry (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
