Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Oversee the meticulous receipt of all incoming goods, verifying quantities, quality, and accuracy against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Perform regular stock checks, precise cycle counts, and thorough investigations into any discrepancies, implementing effective corrective actions promptly.
- Organise and optimise stock storage locations for maximum efficiency, accessibility, and adherence to safety standards.
- Prepare products for dispatch, ensuring correct packaging, accurate labelling, and complete documentation for outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate seamlessly with the dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate shipments, meeting all delivery deadlines.
- Monitor stock levels continuously and proactively identify potential shortages or overstocks, communicating findings to relevant departments for action.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and quality control procedures to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet truck) safely and efficiently, if holding relevant certification.
- Generate comprehensive reports on stock movement, inventory levels, and discrepancy resolutions to inform management decisions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Stock Controller, Inventory Clerk, or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis.
- Exceptional attention to detail and impeccable numerical accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective internal and external interactions.
- Solid understanding of supply chain procedures, inventory best practices, and warehousing operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid and current forklift license (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach Truck).
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- A-Levels or equivalent qualification in a logistics, business, or related field.
- Previous experience in a distribution, manufacturing, or e-commerce fulfilment environment.
