Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a dedicated Store Stocker to join our client’s team for an early morning shift in Old Swan, Liverpool. This crucial part-time role ensures our store is perfectly prepared and stocked for the day’s opening, providing customers with a seamless shopping experience.
As a Store Stocker, you will be the backbone of our operational readiness. Your day will begin before the doors open, focusing on receiving deliveries, accurately stocking shelves, rotating products to ensure freshness and compliance, and maintaining a tidy and organized stockroom. You will work closely with the management team and other early morning staff, fostering a collaborative atmosphere. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload daily deliveries, verifying contents against invoices for accuracy.
- Efficiently sort, organize, and stock shelves, displays, and racks with new merchandise.
- Perform product rotation (FIFO – First-In, First-Out) to ensure freshness and minimize spoilage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom and sales floor throughout the shift.
- Break down and dispose of cardboard and other packaging materials appropriately.
- Assist with inventory counts and report any discrepancies or damaged goods.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or other lifting equipment safely when required (training provided).
- Adhere to all store policies and safety regulations, particularly regarding manual handling.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all early morning tasks are completed before store opening.
Required Skills
- Ability to work reliably and punctually during early morning hours.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy boxes (up to 25kg).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in stocking and inventory tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a retail or warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stocker role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Experience using manual pallet jacks or similar equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
