Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and sharp-eyed Surveillance Monitoring Assistant to join our night shift team in Mineola, Mississauga. Key Responsibilities
- Vigilantly monitor multiple CCTV feeds, alarms, and other security systems during the entire night shift.
- Identify, document, and report any suspicious activities, security breaches, or system malfunctions promptly and accurately.
- Operate and troubleshoot surveillance equipment, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally.
- Maintain detailed daily logs and incident reports with clear, concise, and factual information.
- Communicate effectively with on-site security personnel, management, and emergency services when required.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and relevant security protocols.
- Assist in emergency response situations by providing real-time information and coordinating with relevant teams.
- Conduct regular checks of equipment to ensure operational readiness and report any issues for maintenance.
- Provide support for investigations by retrieving and reviewing recorded footage as requested.
- Ensure confidentiality and data integrity concerning all monitored activities and sensitive information.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in security monitoring, surveillance, or a related field.
- Proven ability to maintain high levels of concentration and vigilance for extended periods.
- Excellent observational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for accurate reporting and clear instruction.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations and experience with surveillance software.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Reliability and punctuality for consistent night shift coverage.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Possess or be able to obtain a valid Security Guard License (Ontario).
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in security management, law enforcement, or a related discipline.
- Experience with advanced CCTV systems and alarm monitoring platforms.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
