Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior surveyors in conducting land surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.
  • Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and digital levels.
  • Collect, record, and verify field data with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Assist in the preparation of survey reports, maps, and drawings using CAD software.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and company policies on all job sites.
  • Perform calculations and computations related to surveying data under supervision.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders regarding survey progress and findings.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of surveying principles or related field experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good physical condition for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
  • Valid UK driving license and access to reliable transport

Preferred Qualifications

  • HND/HNC or Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
  • Previous experience with GIS software
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations
