Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise alterations and repairs on a variety of garments (e.g., suits, dresses, trousers, shirts) for both men and women.
- Conduct client fittings with professionalism and provide expert advice on garment modifications.
- Execute custom stitching and bespoke tailoring projects as required.
- Operate and maintain industrial and domestic sewing machines, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Manage workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Inspect finished garments to ensure they meet our stringent quality control benchmarks.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Accurately record client measurements and specifications.
- Stay updated with new trends in fashion, fabrics, and tailoring techniques.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Tailor or Seamstress, with a focus on alterations and stitching.
- Exceptional hand and machine sewing skills.
- Thorough understanding of garment construction, patterns, and fabric properties.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in all tasks.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
