Job Description
Hiring.zycto is on the hunt for an exceptionally passionate and astute Talent Scout to join our thriving music industry team in Wimbledon, London. Your day-to-day will involve an exhilarating blend of field scouting and strategic office-based work. You’ll be immersing yourself in live music venues, showcases, digital platforms, and online communities, constantly seeking out innovative sounds and captivating performances. This isn’t just about listening; it’s about connecting with artists, understanding their vision, and assessing their market viability. You will develop and maintain a robust network of industry contacts, including promoters, managers, producers, and fellow creatives, to expand our reach and ensure we’re always ahead of the curve.
Beyond discovery, you will be instrumental in the initial evaluation phase, analysing demos, streaming data, social media engagement, and live performance quality. Your critical ear and analytical mind will help us identify artists who not only have talent but also a strong work ethic and commercial appeal. You’ll prepare detailed reports and presentations for our A&R and management teams, articulating your findings and advocating for promising acts.

Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout and identify emerging musical artists, bands, and producers through various channels (live events, online platforms, industry recommendations).
- Attend concerts, showcases, and industry events to discover new talent and network with key figures.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, promoters, and other industry professionals.
- Evaluate submitted demos, digital streaming data, and social media analytics to assess artistic merit and commercial potential.
- Conduct market research to stay abreast of current music trends, genres, and competitive landscape.
- Prepare detailed scouting reports, artist profiles, and compelling presentations for A&R and management teams.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies for artist development and acquisition.
- Represent Hiring.zycto with professionalism and enthusiasm at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven track record of identifying successful musical talent.
- Extensive knowledge of various music genres and the contemporary music scene.
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities within the music industry.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data (streaming, social media) effectively.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Arts Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in A&R, talent scouting, or artist relations within the music industry.
- Demonstrable portfolio of artists discovered or significantly contributed to.
- Proficiency in music industry software and databases.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
