Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service, including assisting passengers with luggage and special needs.
- Manage ride coordination through advanced dispatch systems, ensuring timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentability of the vehicle, performing routine checks before and after shifts.
- Collect fares accurately and process payments, including cash and digital transactions.
- Navigate Nottingham and surrounding areas using GPS and local knowledge to choose optimal routes.
- Ensure passenger comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, dispatch, and colleagues.
- Adhere to all licensing requirements and regulations for taxi operations in Nottingham.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving Licence (minimum 2 years)
- Nottingham City Council Private Hire or Hackney Carriage Licence (or ability to obtain one)
- Excellent knowledge of Nottingham geography and road networks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Clean driving record
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
