Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Telecom Analyst to join our vibrant team in Tuxedo, Winnipeg. This crucial role involves bridging the gap between our telecommunications infrastructure and our core business objectives. You will be instrumental in analyzing current telecom systems, identifying areas for efficiency improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced service delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing telecommunications infrastructure, services, and expenditures to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed reports on telecom performance, cost savings, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with vendors to evaluate new technologies, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective procurement of telecom services and equipment.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for telecom-related projects, providing technical guidance and business insights to cross-functional teams.
  • Manage the telecom expense management (TEM) process, including invoice validation, dispute resolution, and cost allocation.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions that enhance connectivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with telecommunications regulations and company policies.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to telecom expenses and capital investments.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a Telecom Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies (e.g., VoIP, UCaaS, SD-WAN, mobile, fixed-line).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Experience with Telecom Expense Management (TEM) systems.
  • Certifications in telecommunications (e.g., CCNA, ITIL, PMP).
  • Familiarity with Canadian telecommunications regulatory environment.
