Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a passionate and dynamic Part-Time Tennis Coach to join our team, serving the vibrant Malton community in Mississauga. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and deliver engaging tennis lessons and programs for individuals and groups of varying ages and skill levels.
  • Instruct players on proper tennis techniques, rules, strategies, and sportsmanship.
  • Evaluate player progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive coaching environment at all times.
  • Maintain court equipment and ensure proper usage and care.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and facility management regarding program schedules and participant progress.
  • Assist with the organization and execution of tennis events, clinics, and tournaments as required.
  • Stay current with best practices in tennis coaching and player development.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and facility guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in tennis techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse age groups and skill levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive coaching demeanor.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Tennis Professional (e.g., Tennis Canada Coach 1 or equivalent).
  • Previous experience coaching tennis in a club, community, or school setting.
  • Experience with program development and curriculum design.
  • Background in sports science or physical education.
