Your days will be dynamic and varied, involving travel to different event sites daily throughout the GTA. You will work closely with a skilled team to meticulously set up and dismantle a wide range of tent structures, from elegant marquees to robust clear-span tents. Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, and transport tent equipment and materials to various event sites.
- Execute the precise assembly and disassembly of tent structures, including frames, poles, canopies, and accessories, following established safety protocols and blueprints.
- Secure tent structures using appropriate anchoring techniques (stakes, weights) to ensure stability and safety in all weather conditions.
- Operate various hand and power tools competently and safely.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, ensuring tools and materials are in good working order.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to complete installations efficiently and on schedule.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Interact professionally with clients and event staff on-site.
- Troubleshoot minor on-site issues related to tent setup and adjustments.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75 lbs regularly).
- Strong physical stamina and endurance for prolonged periods of standing, bending, and lifting outdoors.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in various weather conditions (hot, cold, rain).
- Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders or scaffolding when necessary.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in tent installation, construction, landscaping, or general labour.
- Valid G Class Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating small power tools or light machinery.
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
