Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking vigilant, detail-oriented, and reliable individuals to join our team as a Casual Test Proctor. This pivotal role is based at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, where you will be instrumental in upholding the integrity and security of various standardized tests, examinations, and assessments. As a Test Proctor, you will be the cornerstone of a fair testing environment, ensuring that all candidates have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills without distraction or malpractice.

Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously follow established testing procedures, which include preparing the testing room, verifying candidate identities, distributing and collecting test materials, and actively monitoring candidates throughout the examination period. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare testing rooms by ensuring all necessary materials (tests, answer sheets, scrap paper, pencils, calculators) are available and arranged appropriately.
  • Verify the identity of each candidate using required photo identification and admission tickets, ensuring all information is accurate.
  • Read clear and precise instructions to candidates before the start of examinations.
  • Actively monitor candidates during testing sessions to prevent cheating, unauthorized communication, and other forms of misconduct.
  • Strictly enforce all testing policies and procedures, including timing, material usage, and breaks.
  • Collect and account for all test materials at the conclusion of examinations.
  • Report any irregularities, discrepancies, or incidents that occur during testing sessions to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain a quiet, secure, and conducive testing environment.
  • Provide basic assistance to candidates regarding test procedures without offering content-related help.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility requirements for candidates with approved accommodations.
