Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, presenting concerns, and treatment needs.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to clients' specific goals and circumstances.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions using various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, person-centred).
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely client records in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, referring agencies, and support systems as appropriate.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings to ensure best practices and continuous learning.
- Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines, professional boundaries, and confidentiality protocols.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health promotion initiatives within the community.
- Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and facilitate appropriate termination or referral services.
Required Skills
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
- Accreditation or registration with a recognized professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, HCPC).
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a mental health setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and intervention techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong active listening abilities.
- Ability to build rapport, establish trust, and maintain professional boundaries with clients.
- Strong ethical decision-making skills and adherence to professional codes of conduct.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialization or advanced training in a particular area of mental health (e.g., trauma, anxiety, substance use).
- Experience working with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds.
