As a Train Conductor, you will be the face of our service, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of passenger trains, while simultaneously providing exceptional support and assistance to our diverse passenger base. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and timely dispatch and operation of passenger trains according to schedule.
- Perform pre-departure checks and ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting passengers with enquiries, ticketing, and baggage.
- Communicate effectively with control centres, station staff, and passengers regarding journey information, delays, and disruptions.
- Manage on-board incidents, including first aid situations, unruly passengers, or technical faults, following established protocols.
- Conduct ticket checks, manage fare collection, and ensure revenue protection.
- Operate train doors, manage platform interface, and ensure safe boarding and alighting.
- Maintain accurate records of train movements, incidents, and passenger feedback.
- Adhere strictly to all railway operational rules, safety standards, and company policies.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., retail, hospitality, public transport).
- Current or previous Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification.
- Prior experience in the rail industry, particularly in a operational or customer service capacity.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
