Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and plan domestic and international freight movements, including FCL, LCL, air, and road freight.
- Liaise effectively with carriers, customers, and overseas agents to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Prepare, process, and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including customs declarations, bills of lading, and delivery notes.
- Track and monitor shipments from origin to destination, providing proactive updates and resolving any transit issues.
- Negotiate competitive rates with carriers and suppliers to optimize cost-efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to customs regulations, international trade laws, and company policies.
- Utilise logistics software to schedule, track, and manage all operational data.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints or operational discrepancies promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on transport activities and performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the freight division.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Transport Coordinator or in a similar logistics role within a freight environment.
- Strong understanding of domestic and international freight processes, regulations, and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficient in using logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive problem-solver with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
