Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget.
- Research and recommend suitable destinations, accommodations, transportation, and activities.
- Design and present bespoke travel itineraries that meet client expectations.
- Manage all aspects of booking, including flights, hotels, cruises, tours, and transfers.
- Process payments and handle financial transactions accurately.
- Provide expert advice on passports, visas, customs regulations, and travel insurance.
- Prepare and issue all necessary travel documentation (tickets, vouchers, itineraries).
- Handle client queries, modifications, and cancellations efficiently and professionally.
- Stay updated on travel industry trends, destination information, and supplier offerings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and travel suppliers.
- Resolve any issues or complaints that arise during the booking or travel process.
- Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling travel products.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Travel Agent or in a similar role within the travel industry.
- Excellent knowledge of global travel destinations, geography, and cultural nuances.
- Proficiency in GDS (Global Distribution System) software (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre) or other major booking platforms.
