Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, budget, and specific requirements for leisure and business trips.
  • Research, plan, and book comprehensive travel arrangements including flights, accommodations, car rentals, cruises, tours, and bespoke activities.
  • Develop customized itineraries and provide expert advice on destinations, travel advisories, visa requirements, and cultural considerations.
  • Process bookings, issue tickets, and manage all necessary documentation and financial transactions accurately.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel industry trends, destination information, supplier offerings, and global events.
  • Handle client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide proactive support before, during, and after travel.
  • Utilize CRM and booking software effectively to manage client relationships and reservations efficiently.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets while contributing to the overall growth and reputation of the business.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Travel Agent (minimum 2 years).
  • Exceptional knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations, regulations, and booking procedures.
  • Proficiency in GDS (Global Distribution Systems) or major online booking platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Expedia TAAP).
  • Strong sales and customer service skills with a client-centric approach and a focus on satisfaction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • High level of organization and the ability to manage multiple bookings and clients simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting, demonstrating self-discipline.
  • Reliable home office setup with high-speed internet and appropriate technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant travel industry certifications (e.g., ABTA, IATA, CLIA).
  • Experience with luxury travel, group bookings, or niche markets (e.g., adventure, culinary, eco-tourism).
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a significant advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or a related field.
