Job Description

Are you ready to embrace a physically demanding yet incredibly rewarding role that directly contributes to environmental sustainability? Hiring.zycto is seeking highly motivated and resilient Tree Planters to join our dedicated team for the upcoming planting season in and around the ByWard Market, Ottawa region, and potentially broader areas of Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive outdoors, possess exceptional stamina, and are driven by tangible results. As a Tree Planter, you will be a crucial part of Canada’s reforestation initiatives, transforming cleared land into vibrant new forests, vital for carbon sequestration and biodiversity. This role operates on a piece-work basis, meaning your earnings are directly proportional to your effort and efficiency – the more trees you successfully plant, the more you earn! This structure rewards dedication and productivity, allowing top performers to achieve significant income during the planting season.

We understand that tree planting is not just a job; it’s a commitment to hard work, endurance, and a passion for the natural world. Our projects involve working in various terrains, from open fields and regenerating clear-cuts to denser bush, often under diverse and challenging weather conditions including rain, heat, and insects. You will be responsible for meticulously planting seedlings according to established quality and density standards, ensuring each young tree has the best chance for survival and contributes effectively to the ecosystem’s recovery. While the work is intense, the camaraderie among planters and the profound sense of accomplishment from reforesting vast areas are immense rewards. Imagine looking back at hillsides you’ve personally transformed into lush, green habitats! Hiring.zycto prides itself on fostering a supportive environment where safety, quality, and planter well-being are paramount. We provide initial training for new planters, ongoing support for seasoned veterans, and ensure you have access to the necessary tools and guidance to succeed. If you’re looking for a seasonal role that offers substantial earning potential based on your grit and dedication, and allows you to spend your days immersed in nature, contributing to a vital ecological cause, then we encourage you to apply. Be prepared for early mornings, long days, and the unparalleled satisfaction of leaving a lasting green legacy in the heart of Ontario.
