You’ll gain hands-on experience under the guidance of certified arborists and seasoned professionals, learning everything from tree identification and pruning techniques to safe climbing practices and the operation of specialized equipment like chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
Our training program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to become a certified and highly competent Tree Surgeon. You will learn about tree biology, pest and disease identification, risk assessment, and proper rigging techniques. Safety is our utmost priority, and you will receive extensive training in industry best practices, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and emergency procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all training sessions, demonstrating a strong eagerness to learn tree care techniques and safety protocols.
- Assist experienced Tree Surgeons with pruning, removal, and cabling operations, adhering strictly to safety guidelines.
- Learn to safely operate and maintain various tools and machinery, including chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and rigging equipment.
- Perform ground support duties, including dragging brush, feeding chippers, cutting wood, and cleaning up job sites.
- Conduct thorough inspections of trees to identify potential hazards, diseases, or structural issues under supervision.
- Properly wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times on the job site.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients, upholding professional standards.
- Contribute to a positive and safe working environment by following all company policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in an outdoor, physically demanding environment.
- Excellent physical fitness, including the ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), climb, and endure varied weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications
