As a Truck Driver with Hiring.zycto, you will be the backbone of our logistics operation, responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of goods across designated routes. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) over long and short distances.
- Transport goods and materials to and from specified destinations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and accounted for during transit.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and submit necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Load and unload cargo as required, assisting with physical labor when necessary.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and perform minor maintenance checks.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) verifiable commercial truck driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) for communication and logbook entries.
- Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles and equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and navigation systems.
- Experience driving in diverse weather conditions, including New England winters.
- HAZMAT endorsement on CDL.
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts for loading/unloading.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing schedules or routes.
