Key Responsibilities

  • Type and format various documents, including reports, letters, memos, presentations, and data tables.
  • Convert scanned images or handwritten notes into digital text, ensuring faithful reproduction of content.
  • Proofread and edit typed material for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive information and documents.
  • Organize and manage electronic files, ensuring easy retrieval and proper version control.
  • Adhere to project deadlines and manage workload efficiently to meet turnaround times.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding project status and any potential issues.
  • Utilize various software and tools for word processing, transcription, and document management.

Required Skills

  • Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM with high accuracy (98% or higher).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for proofreading.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high productivity in a remote setting.
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a remote typist, data entry clerk, or transcriptionist.
