As a Utilities Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our skilled technicians and operators in various aspects of utility infrastructure maintenance, repair, and installation. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled tradespersons and equipment operators in various utility construction and maintenance tasks.
  • Perform manual labour such as digging, trenching, shovelling, and lifting materials.
  • Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials from trucks and work sites.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including site setup and cleanup.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
  • Flag traffic and set up safety signage to ensure public and worker safety around construction zones.
  • Support the installation and repair of utility lines, pipes, and related infrastructure.
  • Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment, reporting any defects.
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion and team objectives.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to showing up on time for shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Basic understanding of construction or utility work principles.
