Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons and equipment operators in various utility construction and maintenance tasks.
- Perform manual labour such as digging, trenching, shovelling, and lifting materials.
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials from trucks and work sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including site setup and cleanup.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
- Flag traffic and set up safety signage to ensure public and worker safety around construction zones.
- Support the installation and repair of utility lines, pipes, and related infrastructure.
- Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment, reporting any defects.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion and team objectives.
