Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a talented and passionate UX/UI Designer to join our expanding team in Partick, Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, and a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across both app and website interfaces. As a UX/UI Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and visual design of our innovative digital products, from initial concept through to final implementation. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate complex requirements into intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing interfaces. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on products.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas to stakeholders.
- Develop high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes for both web and mobile applications, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
- Translate complex business requirements and user needs into intuitive and engaging user interfaces that solve real problems.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards across our product portfolio to ensure consistency.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and overall user experience.
- Present and articulate design concepts, user journeys, and prototypes to internal teams and external stakeholders, gathering constructive feedback.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Required Skills
- Proven UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing app and website interfaces.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles, usability testing methodologies, and accessibility standards.
- Experience with responsive design for various screen sizes, platforms, and devices.
- Ability to conduct user research, interpret data, and translate insights into actionable design solutions.
- Excellent visual design skills with a strong eye for detail, typography, color, and layout, coupled with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of clearly articulating design choices and rationale.
- Demonstrable problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to tackling design challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to understand technical constraints and possibilities.
- Knowledge of design systems implementation, maintenance, and scalability.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar) to track user behavior and inform iterative design improvements.
