Job Description
We are seeking a highly talented and passionate UX/UI Designer to join our growing team in Rhiwbina, Cardiff. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing and designing intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces for both web and mobile applications. You’ll work across the full design lifecycle, from initial user research and ideation through to wireframing, prototyping, and delivering high-fidelity mockups. Your designs will not only look great but also solve complex user problems, enhance usability, and align with our brand identity and business objectives. We are looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, has a keen eye for detail, and possesses a strong understanding of user-centered design principles. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs and behaviors.
- Translate user research insights and business requirements into effective user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for both web and mobile interfaces.
- Design high-fidelity UI mockups and visual designs, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and delivering an exceptional aesthetic.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and successful implementation.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency across all products.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analysis, and technical constraints, continuously striving for design excellence.
- Stay updated with the latest UX/UI trends, tools, and best practices to bring fresh perspectives to our projects.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing app and website interface designs.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility best practices.
- Experience designing for responsive web and native mobile applications (iOS/Android).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to articulate design decisions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
- Experience with motion graphics or animation in UI design.
- Basic understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate collaboration.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and analytics tools to inform design decisions.
