Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company van for local collections and deliveries of goods across Cardiff and surrounding areas.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintenance, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
- Ensure accurate loading, securing, and unloading of goods, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain precise delivery logs, electronic manifests, and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery statuses or potential issues.
- Adhere strictly to all road traffic regulations, company policies, and customer service standards.
- Represent Hiring.zycto professionally at all times, maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.
Required Skills
- Full UK Driving Licence (Category B) with no more than 3 penalty points
- Proven experience as a van driver in a commercial capacity
- Excellent knowledge of Cardiff and surrounding road networks
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to lift and move packages safely (within H&S guidelines)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to road safety and vehicle maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with handheld scanning devices or delivery management systems
- Familiarity with various types of goods and packaging requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle checks
- First Aid certification
