Hiring.zycto is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Video Captioning Assistant to join our team in the bustling Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco. This is an incredible entry-level opportunity for individuals with no prior experience in captioning, but a strong command of the English language and a keen eye for detail. We believe in nurturing talent and will provide comprehensive training to ensure you excel in this vital role.

As a Video Captioning Assistant, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our video content is accessible to a broader audience, including individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, and those watching content in sound-sensitive environments. Your primary responsibility will involve transforming spoken words and relevant audio cues into accurate, well-timed text captions. This isn’t just about typing; it’s about understanding context, maintaining linguistic accuracy, and ensuring synchronization that enhances the viewer’s experience. You’ll work with a variety of engaging video content, from educational materials to entertainment, and everything in between.

We are looking for someone who is methodical, patient, and possesses an excellent grasp of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. If you are a fast learner, comfortable with basic computer operations, and committed to high-quality output, you’ll fit right in. This role offers a unique chance to develop specialized skills in media accessibility, work with cutting-edge tools, and contribute to a mission-driven company. You’ll be part of a supportive team, where your contributions are valued, and your professional growth is encouraged. Immerse yourself in the world of digital media and help us create a more inclusive content landscape, all from our vibrant San Francisco office.
