Hiring.zycto is seeking a talented and dedicated Videographer specialising in both wedding cinematography and promotional content creation to join our vibrant team in Bootle, Liverpool. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of video production, from initial client consultation and concept development to on-site filming, meticulous post-production, and final delivery. For our wedding clients, you will be tasked with unobtrusively capturing the emotion, joy, and unique essence of each couple’s special day, transforming fleeting moments into timeless cinematic heirlooms. Your ability to blend into the background while anticipating key events will be crucial, ensuring every laugh, tear, and dance move is beautifully documented.
Simultaneously, you will lend your creative expertise to our diverse range of promotional projects. This includes crafting engaging video content for businesses across various sectors, encompassing everything from corporate events and product launches to brand stories and social media campaigns. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision and objectives, translating complex ideas into compelling visual narratives that resonate with their target audience and drive engagement.
We are looking for someone who is not just technically proficient with professional-grade camera equipment, lighting, and audio gear, but also a masterful storyteller through the edit. Proficiency in industry-standard editing software is non-negotiable, as is a keen understanding of colour grading, sound design, and motion graphics. You’ll be expected to stay abreast of the latest trends in video production and continually push the boundaries of creativity. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client consultations to understand project scope, vision, and specific requirements for weddings and promotional content.
- Plan and storyboard video shoots, including shot lists, equipment preparation, and location scouting.
- Operate professional video cameras, drones (if certified), lighting equipment, and audio recording devices on location.
- Direct subjects and manage set arrangements to achieve desired visual and narrative outcomes.
- Capture high-quality footage at various events, including weddings, corporate functions, product launches, and interviews.
- Perform comprehensive post-production tasks, including video editing, colour correction/grading, audio mixing, and adding motion graphics or special effects.
- Manage and organise raw footage and project files efficiently.
- Collaborate with clients throughout the production process to ensure their vision is realised and feedback is incorporated.
- Ensure final video deliverables meet quality standards and project deadlines.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and care for all video production equipment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Videographer with a strong portfolio showcasing wedding and promotional work.
- Expert proficiency in video editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- In-depth knowledge of camera operation (DSLR, mirrorless, cinema cameras), lenses, and accessories.
- Strong understanding of lighting techniques for various indoor and outdoor environments.
- Solid skills in audio recording and sound design.
- Excellent storytelling and narrative development abilities.
- Outstanding client communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, often under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Full UK driving license and access to reliable transport for travel to various shoot locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- CAA PfCO or A2 CofC certification for commercial drone operation.
- Experience with additional editing software such as DaVinci Resolve.
- Basic photography skills for supplementary content capture.
- Experience in managing production timelines and budgets.
