Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking an exceptional and inspiring Vocal Coach to join a vibrant music training program in the iconic Notting Hill area of London. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of students, from emerging talents to seasoned performers, helping them to unlock their full vocal potential. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is not only a master of vocal technique and pedagogy but also a passionate mentor capable of fostering confidence, creativity, and a deep understanding of musicality in every student.

As a Vocal Coach, you will be instrumental in developing personalized training plans, conducting engaging one-on-one and group sessions, and preparing students for performances, auditions, and examinations. Our ideal candidate possesses a profound knowledge of various vocal styles, genres, and healthy vocal production techniques. You will be expected to guide students through breath control, pitch accuracy, resonance, articulation, stage presence, and interpretation, ensuring they build a strong foundation for sustainable vocal health and artistic expression. This role demands excellent communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to creating a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging vocal training sessions for individuals and groups across various skill levels.
  • Assess student vocal abilities and create tailored lesson plans to meet their specific goals and needs.
  • Teach fundamental vocal techniques including breath control, pitch, rhythm, diction, tone, and vocal projection.
  • Introduce students to diverse musical styles and genres, helping them develop versatility and expand their repertoire.
  • Prepare students for performances, auditions, recordings, and examinations, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Educate students on vocal health, warm-up routines, cool-down exercises, and proper vocal care.
  • Monitor student progress, provide regular evaluations, and communicate effectively with students and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment that fosters creativity and confidence.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in vocal pedagogy and various singing techniques.
  • Strong understanding of music theory, harmony, and ear training.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and age groups.
  • Proficiency in accompanying students (e.g., piano or guitar) or using backing tracks effectively.
  • Demonstrable experience in performance or professional vocal work.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Music Performance, Music Education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and various vocal styles (e.g., classical, contemporary, jazz, musical theatre).
  • Certification from a recognized vocal teaching association or institution.
  • Experience in preparing students for graded examinations (e.g., ABRSM, Trinity College London) or professional auditions.
