Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly, escorting them to their tables and presenting menus.
- Provide detailed information on menu items, daily specials, and beverage selections.
- Accurately take food and drink orders, inputting them into the POS system.
- Communicate special requests, allergies, and dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns proactively.
- Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
- Process payments accurately and handle cash/card transactions.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other front-of-house team members.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues gracefully to ensure a positive dining experience.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a fast-paced restaurant or lounge setting.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling bills and payments.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 15 kg.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with a specific POS system (e.g., Aloha, Toast, Micros).
- Current Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Knowledge of wine pairings and cocktail preparation.
