Key Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any needs.
- Clear tables, reset them for the next guests, and assist with general restaurant cleanliness.
- Process payments accurately, handle cash and card transactions, and manage the till.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth order flow and timely delivery.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waitress/Waiter or in a similar customer service role (minimum 6 months).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- A positive attitude and a passion for customer service.
- Availability to work weekend shifts (Saturdays and/or Sundays).
- Basic numeracy skills for handling payments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with a Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Food hygiene certificate (e.g., Level 2 Food Safety).
