Job Description

Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a meticulous and proactive Warehouse Clerk with strong data entry skills to join our dedicated team in Steeles, Toronto. This dual-faceted role is critical to maintaining the operational efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse inventory and logistics. You will be at the heart of our supply chain, ensuring that every product movement, from receipt to dispatch, is precisely documented and accounted for.

As a Warehouse Clerk – Data Entry, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that blend physical handling of goods with the crucial digital management of inventory. Your day will involve receiving shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and accurately inputting this data into our inventory management system. Attention to detail is paramount, as errors in data entry can have significant impacts on our operations. You’ll also assist with organizing and storing products in their designated locations, ensuring the warehouse remains tidy, safe, and easily navigable.

This role requires an individual who is comfortable working in a dynamic warehouse environment, capable of light to moderate lifting, and adept at using technology for data management. You will play a vital role in preparing outbound shipments, which includes picking and packing orders according to specifications and generating accurate shipping labels and documentation. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Accurately input data related to inventory, shipments, and returns into the company's inventory management system (IMS) and databases.
  • Organize and store products in appropriate warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
  • Assist with picking, packing, and preparing orders for outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Generate and attach shipping labels, packing lists, and other necessary documentation.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, if certified.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments regarding inventory status and operational needs.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Exceptional data entry speed and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems (IMS) or similar database software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform light to moderate physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with specific warehouse management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle WMS).
  • Valid certification for operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures.
