Key Responsibilities
- Accurately load and unload delivery vehicles using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment (e.g., pallet trucks) as required.
- Carefully pack, label, and prepare goods for shipment, ensuring products are protected and orders are complete according to specifications.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on incoming and outgoing products, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or damage.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times, adhering to all company health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock rotation, counting, and relocation within the warehouse.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, performing daily checks and reporting any malfunctions.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and drivers to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 6 months) in a warehouse or similar logistics environment.
- Demonstrable physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items safely and repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and completing paperwork.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading labels, picking lists, and recording data.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid forklift (FLT) license (e.g., Counterbalance or Reach Truck) is highly advantageous.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
- Knowledge of manual handling best practices and safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
