Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Accurately sort, stack, and organise goods within the warehouse according to established procedures.
- Carefully pack and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring items are secure, properly labelled, and meet quality standards.
- Conduct routine checks on incoming and outgoing goods for damage or discrepancies, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently after receiving proper training.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and general warehouse upkeep as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling and managing goods.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures and commitment to adhering to them.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physically demanding role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or barcode scanners.
- Basic knowledge of manual handling techniques.
- Forklift operator certification (e.g., Counterbalance or Reach Truck) is a plus, though not essential for initial hire.
