Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections of incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Verify product quantities, labeling, and packaging accuracy against order documentation.
  • Identify and report any damaged, defective, or non-conforming items immediately to supervisors.
  • Accurately document inspection results, including any discrepancies or issues found, using company systems.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining the quality control area, ensuring cleanliness and order.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and team leads to resolve quality issues and prevent future occurrences.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing duties.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance quality control knowledge and skills.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to report findings clearly.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels, count items, and complete documentation.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs) throughout a shift (with or without accommodation).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications for data entry.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting (even in non-quality roles) is a plus, but not required.
  • Forklift certification (an asset, but not required; training may be provided).
