Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting daily safety checks and routine inspections of warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Document safety observations, potential hazards, and minor incidents accurately and promptly.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of company safety protocols and procedures.
- Help organize and facilitate safety training sessions for new and existing warehouse personnel.
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial (Manitoba), and company health and safety regulations.
- Maintain an updated inventory of safety equipment, PPE, and first-aid supplies.
- Actively promote a culture of safety, encouraging safe work practices among all warehouse staff.
- Participate in accident and incident investigations as directed by senior safety personnel.
- Assist in identifying potential hazards and recommending practical corrective actions.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to safety documentation and record-keeping.
Required Skills
- Strong observational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles and practices.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and diligently.
