Job Description

You will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, from inbound receiving and inventory management to outbound shipping and quality control. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of warehouse associates, ensuring high performance and adherence to operational standards.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation with the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and layout for maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee equipment maintenance schedules and ensure all machinery is operated safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, procurement, customer service) to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and support professional development for team members.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to operate and train others on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Certification in Forklift Operation and WHMIS.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with various enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
