Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently collect waste and recycling materials from designated residential and commercial routes.
- Operate compaction equipment on waste collection vehicles under the supervision of a driver.
- Maneuver, lift, and empty heavy waste bins and carts into collection trucks.
- Assist the driver with navigating routes, backing up, and ensuring safe operations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and traffic regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and collection areas throughout the shift.
- Interact professionally and courteously with community members and team staff.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
